Frantic Banjo LIVE @ Ploughfest 2017

On Sunday 27th August Frantic Banjo will be appearing at Ploughfest 2017 which will be held, as the name might suggest, at The Plough Inn on Plough Hill Road, Galley Common.

The annual event is held to raise……

Frantic Banjo LIVE at The Black Horse, Hinckley – Sat 26th Aug 2017

This Saturday we’ll be back at one of our favourite venues – The Black Horse in Hinckley! It’s a lovely, friendly venue where all the people are amazing – the ideal place for a great, no hassle night out of great live music. AND you’ll get to see outgoing guitarist Rob for one last time,……

Live at The Fox Inn, Attleborough, Nuneaton

Hopefully we won’t be too exhausted after the crazy shenanigans we KNOW are going to go down at the Greenstock Festival tomorrow night, because Saturday night we have to put in another 2-3 hour stint, rocking the audience down at the Fox! It’s a heavy weekend for us, with all that jumping around. Things get……

Greenstock! Bring it on!

Only a few days to go now until one of our highlights of the year – The Greenstock Festival! This year it’s being held at Upton Barns near Sibson, a few miles out on the A444 going out from Nuneaton toward Burton-On-Trent.

Greenstock was started by Sgt. Pete Page, a Royal Green Jackets veteran, as a……

Hogarths Hereford – Sat 22nd July 2017

Didn’t we have a luvverly time the day we went to Hereford!

Hogarths Gin Palace in Hereford were celebrating their 1st birthday and we were invited along to give the crowd a good time. We’d travelled there in a great big van, which, as it turned out, was……

Introducing Matt ‘The Fingers’ Fletcher

Sadly, this August we’ll be losing Rob, our beast of a lead guitarist. He’s going off to focus on work and family and other exciting things. We’re really sad to be losing him, but that’s life in a semi-pro, jobbing band I’m afraid – sometimes life……

End of March Weekend 2017

Wow! How wild was THAT?!
Friday night we were in Arnold, Notts at a really nice pub called the Cross Keys. Not a huge crowd there, but those that did venture down to see us really made up for it. The manager and staff were brilliant too – makes such a difference, particularly after travelling…….

Black Horse, Hinckley 18/3/17

Well, that went pretty OK!
We were expecting quite a good time at The Black Horse in Hinckley and it didn’t disappoint. Not as many people as we remember, but Maz said it had been a quiet period anyway. Still a really good turn out though, and everyone got into it – I got ‘grinded’……

Ready for action!!

Last rehearsal tonight before our upcoming run of gigs begins! Can’t wait to get out there and start rocking people’s worlds!

In truth, the set is all fine and we’re really happy with it all. But we do like to make sure of everything before we hit the road. Not that it matters in the slightest……

Getting busy!

Well, the gigs for 2017 are starting to roll in and we’re really looking forward to getting stuck in! It’s been a busy couple of months for all of us with work going crazy, house moves etc, so we’re about due a musical blow-out.

We start off on Saturday 18th March at one of our favourite……

The Story So Far….

So, just to bring you up to date about what’s been happening in Banjoworld, last year guitarist Scott and drummer Paul left the band to focus on work and family respectively. Geordie and I were absolutely gutted to lose them as they are two of the finest musicians you’d ever find. They were certainly going……
